Death Cab For Cutie was great on Friday. Here’s the Trib review and here’s the COS review. I hadn’t seen them in 8 years but they were awesome. They played 25 songs and did a great job of giving each album its due. I am really glad I went because that’s probably the last time I’ll see them, that is unless they play Metro again.
Speaking of Death Cab, their new album is streaming up at NPR.
Also, The Lonely Forest did a good job of opening up for Death Cab. They’ll be back in town on June 21, 2011 at the Hideout.
Wow this show at Bowery Ballroom last night seems amazing, Ted Leo, Titus Andronicus, St. Vincent and a bunch of other bands playing covers. Check it out on COS.
