Old 97’s are playing two show at Lincoln Hall in July. Maybe I’ll finally see them live. Tickets go on sale this Friday.

Lolla released its lineup. I just hope Titus Andronicus plays an aftershow.

Tomorrow I’m going to see the Pains of Being Pure at Heart. I hope they are good live.

Ratasucia (Dan Hanaway’s new band) has their album streaming over here.

Last night I saw Arcade Fire at the UIC Pavilion. The show was simply amazing. I normally don’t like big shows but there’s something really fun about a giant crowd singing along to your favorite songs. I was worried that a pricey show wouldn’t live up to my expectations but I had a blast. I got there early and got a great spot. They started off strong with “Month of May”, “Rebellion (Lies)”, and “Neighborhood #2 (Laika)”. The rest of the set was great, no surprise that most of the songs were from the new album. They left the stage after “Sprawl II” and came back for an encore. The crowd went nuts when they played “Ready to Start”. Next was “Keep The Car Running”. They ended the night with “Wake Up”. It was an epic night. I’m glad I went. You can check out the setlist over here. COS has their review here.

Lemuria is playing Metro on June 17, 2011 along with some other bands.

The new Beastie Boys album is streaming now. It’s great from what I’ve heard so far. Take a listen at I can’t believe it’s been 13 years since I’ve seen them live.

The new album from the Antlers, Burst Apart, is streaming at NPR.

I guess Appleseed Cast played last week. I don’t know how I forgot about that one.

Here are some nice rainy day songs:

Two more day until I see Arcade Fire. I’ve been waiting to see them for a very long time. I hope I’m not disappointed.

Well today’s date gives me an excuse to posts videos like these:

So I guess Yuck is playing another show at Lincoln Hall on May 4, 2011. I’m already going to a bunch of shows that month so I am hesitant. If tickets are still available on May 1st then I’ll get one, I’m crossing my fingers over here.

Man, I’ve been listening to some bad music today:
