Download a new Fleet Foxes song over at You Ain’t No Picasso.

Greg Kot has an article about Disappears. In case you didn’t know, they are playing Empty Bottle on Friday. I just bought my ticket today.

I didn’t even realize Small Brown Bike got back together, apparently a new album is coming out. Read about it at Alt Press.

Over at Nerve, Kyle Ryan of AV Club tells you the 5 albums you should be listening to, including Robyn, J Church, and forgetters.

Speaking of forgetters, I finally got around to watching these videos online from WBEZ.

Yet another recommendation of that Radio Dept. show at Empty Bottle, this time by Chicagoist.

Bands I listened to today for the first time: Girls and Smith Westerns. I need to hear more before I form an opinion but not bad so far:

Braid is getting back together to make a new record but they aren’t touring. Read about it at AV Club.

Pitchfork seems to dig the film used for this Thermals video but I dig the song.

The Kills talk with Spin about their new album.

I finally listened to the Sound Opinions with Superchunk. It’s definitely worth listening to.

The Black Lips and Vivian Girls are playing Logan Square Auditorium on April 22, 2011. That April date has me thinking that they’ll end up at Lolla this summer. You can see full tour dates for the Black Lips/Vivian Girls tour at COS.

Sleigh Bells is on tour with CSS but they appear to be skipping Chicago for now.

Oh My Rockness says you should see the Radio Dept. in February at Empty Bottle. I’m inclined to agree with them.
