Shows in September 2010

Posted: September 1, 2010 in Shows This Month

I’m not going to any shows at Lincoln Hall this month, crazy:

  • September 5, 2010 – North Coast Festival with Phantogram, Maps & Atlases @ Union Park
  • September 12, 2010 – Emily Wells @ Schubas
  • September 17, 2010 – Owen, Savoir Adore @ Empty Bottle
  • September 18, 2010 – The Socialists @ Reggie’s Music Joint
  • September 21, 2010 – The Toadies @ Double Door
  • September 22, 2010 – The Tallest Man on Earth @ Park West

September 5, 2010 – North Coast Festival with Phantogram, Maps & Atlases, et al. @ Union Park

I’ve been a fan of Maps & Atlases for a while. I got to see them at Green Music Fest earlier this Summer. I have no objections to seeing them again. Plus, this festival will be super close to my apartment.

September 12, 2010 – Emily Wells @ Schubas

I only heard of Emily Wells recently but I am really impressed by her music. I am not certain that I will make it to this show as it’s on Sunday. I’ll probably go if the weather is decent.

September 17, 2010 – Owen, Savoir Adore @ Empty Bottle

I didn’t start listening to Owen until a couple months ago. I really like what I’ve heard. I generally don’t enjoy sleepy music shows but I’m hoping this is a good one. I saw Savoir Adore back at SXSW. They played outside on Saturday when it was super cold. It’ll be nice to see them in a more comfortable venue.

September 18, 2010 – The Socialists @ Reggie’s Music Joint

These guys are a cover band made up of little kids. I just think this would be really fun show. I hear they cover a lot of Smiths songs.

September 21, 2010 – The Toadies @ Double Door

I haven’t seen these guys since middle school but I think it’d be interesting to check them out now. They are definitely a guilty pleasure.

September 22, 2010 – The Tallest Man on Earth @ Park West

I saw this guy at Pitchfork. He was the first performer I saw at that festival and he played one of the best sets of the weekend. I wasn’t too familiar with him back then but I’ve grown fond of his music. I think this will be a great show.
